Ataxia & Justgiving

Another wonderful use of technology, here I am combining quite a few of my lists, services and other stuff. Where shall I start.

Reason, a niece and 2 nephews are diagnosed with Friedreich’s ataxia. This is a very debilitating disease, but I won’t go into much detail right here. But my sister is raising money and I figured the least I could do apart from donating was to see if I can’t raise her profile a little. If you want to donate just click here.

So what services am I using, lets start with Picasa, my online photo albums, my niece came to stay for a month so I uploaded some photos of her time with us… I have made these photos public and therefore they are search able by Google.

Next, my charity raising sister set up the Just Giving page, this is such a perfect way to raise money, more people should do this. Just Giving have added a Digg it button at the bottom, so I clicked that as well.

Blogger itself is well indexed, and as usual all my Blogger Posts are entered automatically into Facebook. Wow, that means all my friends are automatically informed on this story. Next Zookoda is set up to email my subscribers so more people can find out about Ataxia, sister, niece and nephews, in fact is there anyone I have forgotten.

The bottom line is I am now reaching a stage where I write this one story and it appears on multiple websites, in multiple formats, for multiple reasons. I am sure I am only just touching the tip of the iceberg. I am planning more integration, so watch this space soon.
