Price Hikes for 2013

Every year about this time – we have to look at how to raise prices just a little – just to keep up with inflation and the demands of frankly an ever more expensive environment to live in.
Somehow suppliers seems to be able to raise their prices quite comfortably year in year out, but our customers for obvious reason would prefer us to keep things constant and not charge more. Only so much can be achieved through efficiency.
We offer every service related to the Internet… a brief recap in case you weren’t aware:
- Domain Name Registration
- Website Hosting (of every sort)
- Web Design
- Maintenance and Management of websites
- Newsletter Creation and Management
- Web Marketing Consulting
- Per-Per-Click Management (Google Adwords mostly)
- Search Engine Optimisation
- Social Media Optimisation
- Digital Media Consultancy
This list pretty much covers the everything you could possibly want from your website and if there is something on this list missing like iPad App programming then I probably know a man who can. That is the mission of NComp@ss – to put your business on the ‘Net, in any way that you need it to be there.
So when it comes to raising prices instead of across the board increases by a figure of inflation which leads to ridiculous fractions of a pennies that I have to charge you with… I pick a specific service and come to a compromise.
This year, 2013, I am going to raise prices for basic websites updates, the previous minimum charged was £5 for an update and that might be to change a phone number or update some text. Instead this price will be £10.
I have come to this decision after seeing websites like www.tweaky.com who charge a minimum US$39.00 (£25ish) – which I think is extremely high. I hope that my service remains extremely competitive to say the least.
I would also point out that while changing a phone number might seem like a quick and easy change it actually involves opening up all the relevant files, logins and passwords to make that change, it can easily take half an hour when you add the time it takes for a few emails to be passed around.
And finally, I am not changing my incredibly low priced service of £185 per month updating service – this allows you to change your website as often as you like, all for one very low price monthly price.
In truth I need more subscribers to the excellent monthly service to ensure you get the service and quality you want from me. So if you find your costs do go up because of the increase in my pricing, please do not be put off, because better value can be provided.
